Elliott is a professional Marine Engineer holding a British Class One Engineering ticket and a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Exeter. He undertook a cadetship with Holland America Line and stayed with the company for five years as 4th Engineer and 3rd Engineer. Then he started a career in the superyacht industry on yachts ranging from 44-180m, with the last seven years spent as Chief Engineer.

Free time is spent mountain biking around Mallorca, swimming and, the most important job of all, raising a young baby.
